Ema Omanovic graduated from Sarejevo University with a degree in Pharmacy in 1984. Ema worked as a pharmacist for five years during which time she continued her studies in pharmacy with an emphasis in natural medicine. She traveled to mountain towns in Europe to collect herbal recipes which she published in Village Remedies. When Ema came to the United States in 1989 she started Ema's Herbs. She continues to develop her knowledge of traditional medicine and is currently researching Native American Herbology.
